What’s your diet philosophy?

I basically stick to the Paleo diet. I don’t like keeping track of how much I’ve eaten or obsessing over how many grams of a particular nutrient I’ve had. Paleo gives me variety.

Tired. Hungry. What stops you from grabbing the nearest fast food?

When it comes to food, it’s all about planning ahead. I prepare all meals/ snacks a few days in advance so I always have healthy fuel for my body and am not left feeling hungry and tempted to eat unhealthy food. So, your best-kept snack secret? Instead of getting hungry and being tempted by that muffin or brownie, have some cut-up carrots, celery sticks or nuts available.

During the week, I am 100 per cent focused on training and eating healthfully, but on weekends I relax a little. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is about ensuring you keep it balanced.

What do you cook for one?

After visiting the US several times, I fell in love with the ‘In-N-Out’ protein, animal-style cheeseburger, which I have recreated at home. It is basically a cheeseburger, but instead of the bun, it is wrapped in lettuce. The filling is either beef or chicken with tomato, cheese, onion, lettuce and a splash of Thousand Island dressing. This is quick, healthy and really easy to cook for one person.

Dream dinner party: who’s invited and what’s on the menu?

Redfoo! He would be a character to meet and maybe we could have a dance-off afterwards! The menu would be chicken thigh fillet rolled and wrapped in a rasher of bacon, with sweet potato wedges and asparagus. Dessert is a must and there is nothing better than a low-fat chocolateflavoured frozen yoghurt followed by a little shuffling.

How do you integrate fitness into your lifestyle?

I choose to live close to the beach, where activity is at my doorstep. I’m usually up before sunrise as I love training when I know most of the city is still asleep. In the morning, I concentrate on abs and cardio as this wakes me up and leaves me feeling fresh and energetic for the day. A lunchtime session helps boost my energy levels for the afternoon and is a great way to escape the office. After work, I meet up with friends – we mix it up: waterskiing, boxing, doing the Coogee stairs, circuit training, CrossFit or Tabata training.

What’s your favourite workout?

Tabata training for its high intensity afterwards. after a crazy, manic day? for stress relief, too.

What are your ambitions/dreams/ goals?

I would love for fitness modelling (not competing) to become something bigger. Winning this competition was one of my dream goals, with being a and also because you don’t need a gym or any equipment. You can do it in a gym or at home. It’s great in bad weather, when you don’t want to even think about going outside. When I’m in the gym, I love incorporating deadlifts and the sled into my workout. Boy, does it burn, but it’s so rewarding.

What’s your top tip for unwinding after a crazy, manic day?

I may go out on the boat and go for a ski or board. It is always so relaxing and fun when with friends. Otherwise, I will go for a walk on the beach, have a quick swim and just relax on the sand people-watching. You could honestly sit there for hours – it is so relaxing.

Favourite tracks to work out to?

Depending on my mood, my music will vary. I like anything really from house music, R&B and even punk. If I need a little boost from a draining day, R&B or a little punk will always get me fired up and motivated, which results in doing more than I had planned to. It’s great good role model to women of all ages. Overall, my goal is to live a healthy and happy life.
