Omnilux is an anti-ageing skin treatment that stimulates collagen and encourages healing.

What is Omnilux?

A light therapy device that uses red LED light at specific wavelengths to stimulate collagen and act as a non-invasive anti-inflammatory agent. While most anti-ageing treatments purposely damage the skin to encourage the process of healing, Omnilux causes no thermal damage.

What to expect?

After a good cleanse, an intensely bright lamp sits over the face for 20 minutes. You feel the warmth from the light, but nothing painful. The first 30 seconds or so seem blinding, but you soon relax and can even have a bit of a snooze.

The treatment actually increases endorphins, so you end up feeling happy by the end of it! Omnilux uses three different light wavelengths (white, blue and red), combined to stimulate different cellular responses according to the type of skin concern. There’s no downtime.

Details:

Expect to pay $90 to $120 per treatment. All it takes is one for skin to start looking plumper and more glowing, but six to nine are recommended for best results. For more information, head to omnilux.com.au.

“This is an effective LED light therapy technology, and is most effective when it is combined with a naturally occurring lotion or cream called 5-ALA, and works to rejuvenate sun damaged skin, skin cancers and acne.”
