 2. Become a vegetarian

If you're already a fan of meat-free meals, you're a step ahead when it comes to the macrobiotic diet. According to the the macrobiotic food pyramid (courtesy of the Kushi Institute, the go-to for macrobiotic diet info) meat, eggs and dairy should only be consumed monthly, if at all. The good news for carnivores? Fish and seafood is only limited to weekly consumption. Most of your protein intake will come from beans, legumes and soy products (like tofu or tempeh).
