Hello

New to the website, but a reader of the magazine for some time, my name is Lou and I have a burning question.

Fortunately I have always been a slimi-ish person, always been 5 ft 4, 58-60kgs and a size 8-10, however recently I have become a real gym bunny and healthy eater, I even have a personal trainer once a week - the reason to shift the belly fat, and get in the best shape of my life, for my wedding which is now only 5 months away, I'm wanting to get slim and happy with my body, no real goal weight or size etc, more about how i feel and look.

My dillema is, I have now been doing PT once a week for 2 months and gyming weights and cardio, alternatively 4 times a week for 45 minutes to an hour. I have never ever in my life weighed more than 60kgs, I have always had issues with my weight and have intentionally never gone over this. However I am now 63 kgs :-O WTF. Why have I put on 3 kilos since going to the gym? I'm practising less calories in, more energy out and I'm gaining weight. So Why is this? Is it muscle? Will i get back down to under 60kg's?  I'm not stopping becauses i feel great and I'm loving my new lifestyle.

Looking for some tips and advice from more experienced people. On a side note PT says it's nothing to worry about, could be alot of things, water retention, medication, muscle etc. It's just really bugging me.

Has your body shape changed much? Have you noticed your belly getting flatter and your body looking leaner? Because if you were just working out so you could look and feel great at your wedding and it wasn't because you needed to or wanted to weigh less then i wouldn't worry about the extra 3 kilos as long as you look better than you did before and like what your new body looks like :)
