4. Capoeira

Originating in Brazil, Capoeira combines dance, acrobatics and music to make it a fast-paced and fun take on martial arts. The tradition of capoeira is described as a game, where two competitors duck and weave in mock combat; it can look like a choreographed dance.

Classes are generally one hour long and for the most part will focus only on individual exercises.

Capoeira movements involve jumping, rolling and sometimes even handstands and backflips perfect for building strength, agility, flexibility and fitness. Don’t be intimidated by the acrobatics; capoeira caters for all levels of fitness and your instructor will ease you into anything technical.
