Chewing gum

Fun fact: chewing gum gives you aerophagia, which is a fancy term for the excessive swallowing of air. This condition also applies to excessive soft drink (or beer) consumption or even smoking. This air goes into the stomach and can cause bloating and discomfort. Many sugar-free chewing gums are also high in sorbitol, a sweetener which has laxitive properties and can cause stomach upset if consumed too frequently.
