Hi

Bodybuilding.com is a great site and has heaps of demo videos on weight excersises and it's free. I'm not really a runner but just doing interval stuff which I really enjoy especially out in the bush where there's no one around so I can look like an idiot and nobody will see lol!

I read the terms and conditions and there's nothing in it about keeping the paper in the before photo's??

I'm going to take on an online trainer at the 1/2 way point I think although I'm going to struggle to find the $$ for it I know it's a good investment - not to win this or anything but just to really see that I get results. You can't edit your profile to change that part so I'm not sure what the go is with that but you obviously can have a trainer.

I do my weights while my son is napping

Better get to bed if I'm going to get up early almost didn't make my 6am class this morning as it was raining but went anyhow and we all just ran in the on/off rain - felt great

Yes the scales can be evil, but I couldn't resist!! I have done step into life classes before too, it was good, but allot of older ladies were in it. I am not taking any supplements, been there done that, I don't even have a multivitamin. I began running again today, I started in week 5 of 9, of the couch to 5 km program, it's interval stuff, feeling good now it's done, the last 5min run was tough (in my head) Your good getting up early, myu son's sleeping 8-8ish again which is nice, but I have been fitting sessions in while his alseep during the day, and while hubbies been on days off. I'm not sure what I'm doing weights wise yet, last week I did ball exercise's (like I said the other day I think, I hate how this site doesn't let you see your last posts while you write a new one!!! I lost my newspaper that I used for my before photos, so annoyed I've emailed bodyblitz, I'm not sure if they must be sent in now? I know I had to last time I entered, and failed! But not this time! I just bagged up fruit and nuts and wrote the grams and calories on them, pathetic? hmmm What are you waiting for in the post? Cat

Hi Catherine

a kilo is great! well done

I think I may get my partner to hide the scales for me till I get to mid way point or at least a few weeks in.I'm doing weight training at home with dumbells 3 times a week so intially I might weigh more at times as I put on muscle and I don't want weight to get me down, I find it extremley depressing to see a gain of any kind.

I'd rather use measurments as an indicator

I'm aiming for 4-5 cardio sessions this week - most will be interval training of about 30mins trail walk run first thing in the morning before my son and partner get up and 3 sessions of weights and 2 Abs. I have 3,5 and 7.5 kilo dumbells I use.

Did my stepintolife Cardio session this morning at 6am and feeling great. Sooo hard getting up early but worth it for how I feel for the rest of the day.

Hoping my protein shake and Craig Harper training journal arrives in the next few day's!!

Are you taking any supplements?

Hi Amy! thanks for your message. Things are going well for me 1 week in Iv'e dropped 1kg :) This weeks goal was 6 walks of 30mins or more, and exercises on the exercise ball 3 times, I did 4 of those. Next week I will start my running again I think. At the moment I am just eating healthy, sticking around the 1500 calorie mark, I have began eating nuts and seeds as snacks, with lots of fruit, vegies, smaller meat portions & eggs. Less bread, and dairy. How are things for you? Cat

Hi Catherine

How are you going on your plan? I'm starting today but have been trying to eat healthy for about 2 weeks now

I'm 28 and a  stay at home mum to a 2yr old little boy. I'm also doing everything fitness wise at home and the great outdoors as I can't afford a gym membership.

I'm going to follow a high protein low carb plan - eat more often - and incorporate challenging weights into my workouts. Its a plan female natural bodybuilders generally follow.  How bout you?

Iook forward to hearing how you go :)

Amy

Hi to everyone! I am a 30 yr old mother to a beautiful 18month old son! I am currently a stay at home mother, while my hubby works. I am back to my pre preg weight, but same old same old, uncomfortable with my appearance, and body shape. I want to become the fit healthy woman that I have been hoping to become year in year out! About 4 years ago I entered the body blitz, and didn't omplete it, my friend however did complete it, has kept the weight off, and is now a PT! Anyway this time I want to do it.. the whole 12 weeks! I nearly completed a 9 week couch to 5km program in September, but got sick and went downhill from there, when I only had 2 weeks to complete:(, I never finsihed my 2 weeks, instead I just run when ever I can, but it's not consistant. I can currently run 15 mins non stop plus more if I pushed myself, with the running pram, I want to be able to complete 5km. I also have a mountain bike, with a trailer for my son. I have an exercise ball, hand weights, boxing bag & speed ball, jilliam micahels dvds, a small sculpt ball with dvd, pilates and yoga dvd and skipping rope,a playstation 2 "kenetic game" (if I get desperate), so I really don't have much of an excuse to not be able to exercise, apart from making time for it and been consistant! I have a pool close by and allot of places to ride, and walk and run! My biggest hurdle is food... I eat big portions and can never stay focused on healthy eating, and less snacking. The last few days I have stopped eating everything my son doesn't eat, and did well over christmas with not over eating. I don't drink allot so it shouldn't be an issue for me! We plan on having another baby in 2010, so i want to be fitter and healthier before I cooncieve :) I hope to make pals on here for insperation, and I will try and give you all some back! Thanks for listening Catherine

Hi

I am just starting a 12 week challenge, but I notice the last lot of info on the challenge site is dated 2008 and doesn't seem to be updated is this right?  I did the challenge (although didn't finish) in 2007 and got a start date etc. I have filled in my pre-fill form, but haven't uploaded my photo's yet.  Will more info come up after I have?  Any help would be great - thanks.

Hi,

I thought i would let every one know a bit about me. I am 24 with five childen. yes 5 i had my first at 17 in 2003 i was 49kg (5'2) i then followed with 4 more in 2004,2006,2007 and 2009. And now  i am 83 kg i mananged to loose all my weight in between my pregnacies (the very small amount of time there was) though i done this with no effort this time its different i was 83 kg full term with my last baby he is 6 months now and i weigh the same its different this time and as i am extremely competitive

I thought the 12 week challenge would suit me so with a bit of healthy competition any one who wanted to keep touch and challenge them selves let me know i think it will make us finish this and make friends along the way. Thanks for listening and good luck to you all.......................  :)

Let me know................

Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself my name is Emma and I am taking control of my life. I have made two bad career choices lately and have ended up not training as a result of one job and now overtraining and injuring myself due to working in a badly managed gym.

But no more!! I am in control of my life no one else. My aim is to get back to running half marathons, eating clean again ( I am an emoitional eater), get back to boxing training and to loose 5kgs. I am so determined to make my life what I want it to be and I will. I am starting the 12 week challenge tommorrow and it is the beginning of the new me!!

Hey there,

Firstly well done for making the decision to take the 12 Week Challenge!! Did you get your paper and take your photo y'day?? Make sure you send in all your stuff. The longer you wait to send it off, the more you might not actually do it! I started y'day also.  So what are your plans for the nxt 12 weeks - do you have exercises to do, have you thought about an eating plan?? There is lots to think about.

I had an operation on both my shins 2 weeks ago and I am unable to exercise them for another 3 weeks or so. So for the first 3 weeks of the challenge I am focusing on arm weights and getting my food plan in good swing. I am a total chocoholic so I have banned chocolate for the first two weeks then hopefully I will be over those crazy cravings that are eating away at me as I type! lol

If you would like to keep in touch with me I am cool to go through the challenge with you.

Take care and let me know what happens!! Good Luck!

Hi,

I was just reading the latest bodyblitz challenge winners story and I'm always interested in thigh measurements as that is my tough spot and I read 99.5cm before and then 55cm after - surely this is a TYPO - can anyone confirm or shoot me now! ha ha

Cheers,
Helen x

I am only 20 years old and my cholesterol is double what they consider high and am at risk of a heart attack :(. I am 65kg and I always give in when it comes to food.... I am mentally strong and can do anything when I know someone is there with me but I dont have any support around me to give me the push I need. I am joining the 12 week bodyblitz tomorrow (when i have the newspaper) and believe I can get through this with other inspirational stories to prove it can be done. So pls update me on your progress, I would love to have someone to do this with!! Its always easier when you have someone you are accountable too...
