I feel amazing and its all due to the healthy lifestyle I live everyday. What I love about exercising is that it is something you can control and it has a positive outcome. I have had many hurdles in life but gym is always there for me. It was daunting for me as it is for many women, to transition from having a baby to workouts. I’ll never forget my first fitness assessment and having to jump up stairs with week pelvic floors, feeling scared at the thought of doing 5 mins on the treadmill and the awful biological age reading of 58 years old; 20 years older than my actual age, nice! But with the help of my amazing trainer, I have overcome these hurdles and now love exercise and couldn’t live without it. It all started with 12 week challenges which focused on healthy eating and lots of training. After doing 3 over a 15 months, this lifestyle is just part of life for me now. As a single mother, in my thirties, I laugh more, do more and feel I can accomplish many things. I hope I can inspire women to know that you can keep fit and exercise despite all the responsibilities we face in life. Because by keeping fit, it makes all those responsibilities a lot easier to tackle. I wouldn’t say I am the fittest woman in Australia but I think I make up the category of natural fit working woman that balances a healthy lifestyle of work, family and exercise.
